WHAT YOU'LL NEED
13 sts x 28 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 6.00mm needles.
beg = begin/ning, cont = continue, garter st = every row knit, patt = pattern, rem = remain/ing, RS = right side, st/s = stitch/es, stocking, st = 1 row knit, 1 row purl, tog = together, WS = wrong side.
Using 6.00mm needles, cast on 33 sts.
Knit 4 rows garter st (1st row is RS).
Work 2 rows stocking st, beg with a knit row.
Last 6 rows form patt. Cont in patt until work measures approx 90cm from beg, ending with 4 rows garter st. Cast off loosely.
TO MAKE UP
DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, join cast on and cast off edges tog to form a ring.
GAUNTLETS (MAKE 4 PIECES)
Using 6.00mm needles, cast on 13 sts. Knit in garter st (1st row is WS) until work measures 24cm from beg, working last row on WS. Cast off loosely.
TO MAKE UP
DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st join two pieces together along one side edge from cast on to cast off edges. Join rem side edges together for 18cm from cast on edge, leaving 2cm free for thumb opening, then join rem 4cm to cast off edge. Repeat for second Gauntlet.
