4 SEASONS FLINDERS CUSHION COVER

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 4 Seasons Flinders cotton 8ply 50g 5 balls Main colour (M) Jet, 4 balls contrast colour (CC) Snow.
- 1 pair of 5.00mm knitting needles or size required to give correct tension.
- 40x40 cm cushion insert, scissors, yarn needle, tape measure.

TENSION
18 sts x 24 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 5.00mm needles and 2 strands of yarn together.
Special Abbreviations
LS = Insert needle into next st, wind yarn once around needle point and first 2 fingers of left hand (by taking yarn over needle around and under fingers until loop is completed). Put yarn over needle as if to knit. Draw loops through (without slipping st off needle). Slip loops back onto left hand and knit st through back of loop.
INSTRUCTIONS
BACK AND FRONT ALIKE
Using 5.00mm needles and 1 strand each of M and CC together, cast on 73 sts.
Work 20 rows stocking st.
Using 2 strands of CC, work 20 rows stocking st.
Using 2 strands of M cont as folls -
Next row - K1, * LS, K1, rep from * to end.
Next row - Purl.
Rep last 2 rows 7 times.
Using 2 strands of CC, work 20 rows stocking st.
Using 1 strand each of M and CC together, work 20 rows stocking st.
Cast off knitways.
FINISHING
With wrong side of cushion facing together, using mattress st join 3 sides together. Insert cushion insert and join 4th side. Sew in ends. Make 4, large tassels using M and attach to each corner as pictured.
