Step 5. Remove the backing paper from the pot and centre on the homespun rectangle 3 1/2" up from the bottom edge. Fuse in place.

When happy with the design remove the backing paper from the bottom row and fuse in place. Working on a few circles at a time remove the backing paper and fuse in place. Continue in this way working up to the top finishing with the star.

Using leftover homepsun from the quilt backing, Cut a strip of homespun 6" to 8" wide and 1" shorter than the width of the quilt. Fold the short ends under 1/4", and then 1/4" again to make a hem and stitch.
Step 13. Fold the strip in half lengthways, wrong sides facing and sew together. Press seam open with the seam centered in the middle of the sleeve. Place the open seam against the back of the quilt and centre. Pin the top edge to the back of the quilt, about 1/2" below the binding.
Step 14. Slip-stitch the sleeve along the top edge stitching through the backing and batting. Stitch down the (short) back sides of the sleeve sides.
Step 15. Before stitching down the long bottom edge, fold up about 1/2", then stitch in place.
