WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 'Moda Vera' Northcote Cotton 50g: 6 balls 1st Colour (C1) Charcoal,6 balls 2nd Colour (C2) Blue,2 balls 3rd Colour (C3) Oatmeal,4 balls 4th Colour (C4) Silver,2 balls 5th Colour (C5) Coral.
- A 5.50mm crochet hook or size required to give correct tension.
- Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
18 sts and 8.5 rows to 10cm over patt, using 5.50mm hook.
THROW (beg at lower edge)
Using 5.50mm hook and C1, make 215ch.
1st row (RS) - 1tr in 6th ch from hook, * 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in next ch, rep from * to last ch, 1tr in last ch, turn ... 212 sts.
2nd row - 4ch (counts as 1tr, 1ch), miss first 2tr, 1tr in next 1ch sp, * 1ch, miss 1tr, 1tr in next ch sp, rep from * to turning ch, 1tr in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Rep 2nd row in stripes of 11 rows C1, 13 rows C2, 13 rows C3, 13 rows C4, 13 rows C2, 13 rows C1, 13 rows C5, 13 rows C2, 13 rows C4 and 13 rows C1.
With RS facing, using 5.50mm hook, join C2 in any st along lower edge.
1st round (RS) - 1ch, taking care to keep work flat, work evenly in dc around all edges, working 3dc in each corner, sl st in 1ch at beg.
2nd round - 1ch, work evenly in dc around all edges, working 3dc in centre dc on each corner, sl st in 1ch at beg.
DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends.
