Level: Intermediate

What You'll Need:

  • 0.50cm (of each color) Plain 90 cm Acrylic Felt Fabric -Emerald, Green Tea, Natural
  • Velcro Dots
  • Hobby Fill
  • Nuno Hello Strong Fabric Glue Clear
  • A plate

INSTRUCTIONS

Fried Eggs

Step 1 - Cut two daisy shapes out of natural felt.

Step 2 - Cut two small circles out of Green Tea felt. Using the fabric glue, attach the green yolks to the center of the eggs.

Step 3- Apply a Velcro dot to the center back of each egg.

Ham slices

Step 1- To make the ham slices, cut two large Green Tea circles. Cut these same circles from the Emerald Green. Using the tip of the scissors, make a small hole in the center of the Emerald green circle and cut out the middle creating a small boarder for the Green Tea piece. This forms the ham rind.

Step 2- Using the glue, stick the rind on and repeat the process with the other slice of ham.

Step 3 - Using the natural felt, cut three circles then cut the center out of those. Two of these will be the bone for the ham slices and one will be kept aside for the ham leg. Glue these bone circles onto the center of the ham slices.

Step 3- Apply a Velcro dot to the center back of each ham slice.

Ham Leg

Step 1 - Cut all pieces of the ham following the template provided. Taking the Ham body piece, sew both the top curve and bottom straight sides together. Ensure that you do not sew shut the two vertical ends of the ham.

Step 2- Using pins and the front of ham leg piece, divide the edge in four equal quadrants (this can be done by folding the piece in half horizontally and marking the points at the edge where the piece is in half, and repeating the process vertically). Repeat this for the larger end of the ham body piece from step 1.

Step 4 - Working around the shape, pin the front of leg ham around the ham body and straight stitch around. Turn the leg ham out. Stuff firmly with hobby fill.

Step 5 - Repeat step 2 with the back of ham leg piece ensuring that the edge of the fabric is pushed into the ham. Using a hand needle, invisible stitch the back of the ham on.

Step 6- Take the white bone circle that was cut earlier and glue in the center of the front of the ham leg. Apply a Velcro dot to the base of the leg of ham.

Step 7- Stick all the pieces of your green breakfast on to a plate.
