SCANDI CHRISTMAS BAUBLE BUNTING

Instructions

Step 1- Start by creating your circle pattern. This can be done by tracing around a circle container lid. Remember that the Baubles require 1cm seam allowance so make sure your circle is big enough! Trace around your circle on a piece of paper and cut out.

Step 2- Using your circle pattern, pin to your Christmas fabrics, taking care to place over any patterns you want to feature in the centre of the Bauble. Each Bauble requires two pieces, cut enough to make three Baubles of each design. After cutting there should be 18 circles total.

Step 3- For the Bauble loops, Sew a tube of the metallic fabric, cut one long piece of fabric, Sew down one side and turn right side out. Press with seam to the back. Then cut the tube into 10cm pieces.

Step 4- Sew your circles together right side to right side facing each other with a 1cm allowance.

Leave an opening at the top of each circle so that you can turn the baubles through and insert your loop on top.

Tip: Make sure to take care in where you leave your opening- if you have a design that needs to be right side up, your opening must be at the top!

Step 5- Snip notches around the baubles as close to the stitching as you can.

Turn out through gap and press.

Step 6- Take one of your 10cm loops and fold in half.

Insert the loop inside the gap of the bauble, pin in place, making sure to create a neat closure on the bauble.

Step 7- Top stitch around the edge of the bauble all the way around, making sure to close the gap and hold the loop in place.

Step 8- Repeat for all other baubles.

Trim any loose threads and give each a final press

Cut a length of string and thread your baubles onto it. A simple loop at each end makes this garland easy to hang!

Tip: This garland can be as long as you like! Simply create and add more baubles!
