INSTRUCTIONS

Note - 1.5cm seam allowance used throughout unless otherwise indicated.

Step 1 - Press panel and cut to separate all 18 banners. Press under all edges of each banner.

Step 2 - From Oxford Blue homespun cut 18 rectangles 27cm x 32cm.

Step 3 - Centre each banner on a homespun rectangle and pin in place. Topstitch banner in place 3mm from the edge.

Step 4 - Arrange rectangles into 3 rows of 3 rectangles for sleeping bag front and remaining rectangles into 3 rows of 3 for the sleeping bag back.

Step 5 - Sew together the 3 rectangles in each row and press seams open. Pin and sew rows together pressing seams open.

Step 6 - Cut 4 x 10cm wide strips across the width of homespun. Sew one strip to top and bottom edges of the sleeping bag front and back. Trim off excess fabric from ends and press seam towards the strip. Front and back pieces should measure approx 75cm x 108cm.

Step 7 - Cut fleece in half (80cm x 114cm). Fuse to wrong side of the front and back pieces of sleeping bag. Trim off excess fleece.

Step 8 - Pin front to back down one long side edge with right sides facing and sew together. Trim fusible fleece from seam allowance back to stitching and press seams open.

Step 9 - For the inside lining cut two 108cm lengths of Avengers Infinity War Allover, trim off selvedges and cut each 75cm wide. Pin together down one long side edge with right sides facing and sew. Press seam open.

Step 10 - Pin outer and lining together with right sides facing and seams aligned. Sew together around outside edge leaving 30cm opening for turning through. Trim fusible fleece from seam allowance back to stitching. Clip corners and turn right side out.

Step 11 - Press in seam allowance of opening and topstitch around all sides 3mm in from outer edges enclosing opening within the stitching.

Optional - Quilt together through all layers if desired (using a walking foot will make quilting easier).

Step 12 - Fold sleeping bag in half with lining on inside. Pin down the side and across bottom edge, leaving top edge open. Measure 75cm down the side from the top and mark. Topstitch layers together across bottom edge and up the side to the mark 2cm in from the edge.

Step 13 - Separate press stud tape, fold ends under and pin. Pin tape to the inside edge of side opening (there should be approx. 10cm at the top without tape). Sew tape in place down each side and across ends (using a zipper foot makes it easier to sew tape). Repeat to attach other side of tape to other inside edge of the opening.

Step 14 - Sew another row of topstitching through all layers across bottom edge and up the side to the mark 1cm in from the edge.
