WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Your favourite cupcake recipe or mix

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Bake

Prepare cupcake batter according to recipe. Place baking cups in muffin tin and fill each cup 2/3 full with batter. Bake according to directions. Cool on a baking rack.

Step 2 - Tint

Divide icing in half. Tint one half of icing blue. Divide the remaining half in half again. Tint one portion green and tint the other portion black.

Step 3 - Decorate

Using the angled spatula, ice cupcakes smooth with blue icing.

Eyes: Using a decorating bag with Tip 2A and green icing, pipe two large half circles (wide dots) right next to each other on one end of the cupcake to make the eyes. Using a decorating bag with Tip 5 and black icing, pipe two small dots in front of each green half circle to make the pupils.

Nose: Using a decorating bag with Tip 5 and green icing, pipe two small dots opposite the eyes, leaving a small space between the dots. Using the same bag, add lines to make arches over the dots to complete the nose.
