MINKY DOT FLEECE BLANKET

What you'll need
- 1.5 Minky Dot Polar Fleece
- Matching thread
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Sewing machine
- Optional - overlocker
Instructions
Read all instructions carefully before commencing the project.
Note - As Minky is 150cm wide we used 1.5m to make a square blanket.
Step 1 - To begin making your blanket, trim the ends of the fleece fabric to straighten.
Step 2 - Fold one end 1cm to the wrong side and pin. Stitch using a straight or narrow zigzag stitch and repeat on the other end.
Step 3 - Fold selvedge edge 1cm to the wrong side and pin. Stitch using a straight or narrow zigzag stitch and repeat on the other side.
Step 4 - Starting again at the first side fold the hemmed edge 1.5cm to the wrong side and pin. Stitch 1cm from the edge using a zigzag or decorative stitch. Repeat for all remaining sides as before.
Additional overlocking step
Step 1 - Use an over locker to edge all four sides.
Step 2 - Fold edges the overlocked edges 1.5cm to the wrong side and pin. Stitch 1cm from the edge using a zigzag or decorative stitch.
