PRIDE TOTE BAG

What you'll need:
- 5m of pride drill
- Cotton Drill 'PRIDE STRP'
- Cotton Drill 'RBOW PAWS'
- Cotton Drill 'ALOVR RBOWS'
- Cotton Drill 'LVE IS LVE'
- Cotton Drill 'DIVERSE FCES'
- 1m cotton heading tape
- Gutermann Sewing threads - to match fabric colours
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
- Pins
- Iron
- Fabric marker
- Ruler/Tape measure
Instructions:
Step 1- Cut 2 pieces of pride drill, measuring 45cm High x 37cm wide.
Cut 2 pieces of heading tape for bag straps measuring 52cm each.
Step 2- With right sides together sew the 2 pieces of drill together using a 1cm seam allowance, sew down the sides and the bottom edge. Press side seams open. Trim excess seam allowance around the corners of the bottom edge.
Step 3- From top edges, measure 9cm in and mark. This is where the straps will be placed.
Creating a rolled hem, turn the top edge over 2cm, then turn again measuring another 2 cm. Tuck straps under the hem at the 9cm mark and bring them over the top of the hem. Pin the hem and straps in place. Sew a line of stitching on the edge of the hem, making sure to secure the straps whilst sewing. Sew a second line of stitching along the free edge, also making sure to secure the straps whilst sewing.
Step 4- Turn right sides out and give the bag one last iron.
