Step 1 - From template provided, cut - 2x bag bodies (left & right) from each of the two printed cotton fabrics (total of 4 body pieces)

Step 2 - With right sides facing pin and sew the base seam edges of a left Fabric A and right Fabric B piece together. Press seam open. Repeat with the two remaining fabric pieces to make the lining, leaving a 10-15cm gap in the center of the seam.

With right sides facing, pin the two fabric pieces together aligning center base seam and all outer edges. Sew together around all outer edges. Trim and clip seams. Turn bag out through the opening in the base of the lining seam. Hand sew opening closed. Press bag flat.

Step 3 - With the lining side of the bag facing up and the base seam running horizontal through the middle, fold the top left 'A' marked edge (see template) to meet with the top 'B' marked edge. Press along the fold and up into the middle of the left handle.

Repeat with lower half, folding 'A' up to meet 'B', press in same manner.

Now fold the bag in half, up along the center base seam, press. Handles should now be facing up, one of either side of bag. On each side of the bag, place the left smaller flap under the edge of the right larger flap by 1cm, pin in place. Top stitch flaps together in a double row of stitching to secure. If there is a slight gap at the base corner of fold, it can be left as is and can be hand sewed closed

Tie the top of each shoulder strap together in a tight knot.
