Step 3 - Draw up the main shapes of your design with a pencil. If a circular frame shape is desired find an object that you can trace around.

Step 4 - Apply orange to the coral as a base colour, add some dimension with warm red.

Step 5 - Cover all the next coral piece in fluoro violet. Add some fluoro violet with white for some lighter highlights.

Step 6 - Cover entire little fish in cool yellow as a base colour.

Step 7 - Mix cool yellow and cobalt blue hue to make a turquoise. Add white to soften to preferred colour and cover the bottom area of the ocean.

Step 8 - Cover the top area of the ocean with cool blue. Lighten some cool blue with white and add to the top right side.

Step 9 - Mix warm blue and warm red to make a muted purple and use to suggest shadows/rocks. Mix warm blue and yellow ochre to make a dark muted olive green. Add to rocks.

Step 10 - Mix warm blue and warm yellow to make an olive green. Add shadows below turtle. Use red ochre to rock area. Use warm blue for shadows behind the coral on bottom right.

Step 11 - Mix cool yellow and cool blue to make a green. Use for seaweed in water behind turtle (left) and right on the rock. Lighten the top of the seaweed on the rock with some white added to the green.

Step 12 - Use warm yellow on areas of the turtle and add stripes to fish.

Step 13 - Mix white and orange to make a peach colour. Add to turtle shell. Add yellow ochre to turtle shell.

Step 14 - Add red ochre and yellow ochre to turtle shell. Define shape in shell edge.

Step 15 - Mix red ochre and warm blue to make a dark brown colour. Add to bottom flipper. Add white to this colour & use for top flipper (behind shell).

Step 16 - Use the same purple brown from step 15 with white and use to add detail to the flipper and head. For the fish, add dappled white and yellow ochre to body.

Step 17 - Mix orange and white to make peach colour and add dots onto the orange coral to give textural interest. Mix white with a touch of orange and use this pale peach colour to add detail pattern to the turtles back flipper.

Step 18 - Mix colours cool red and white in various percentages to make light and dark pinks to add in the linear coral (right, top). Add some peach colour from step 17 to some coral tips.
