TEDDY BEAR PATTERN
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Blanketing, felt or polar fleece in white, cream, pale pink or pale blue
- Template
- Pencil
- Scissors
- DMC embroidery thread
- Hobby fill
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1.Trace bear outline onto stiff card to use as template.
Step 2.Cut two bear shapes from blanketing, felt or polar fleece material in white, cream, pale pink or pale blue.
Note: Please do not use pink and blue on the same bear.
Step 3.Pierce two holes where the eyes are on the template, then use a pencil to mark eyes on the material.
Step 4.Blanket stitch around both shapes using two strands of DMC or any embroidery wool, or very fine wool, to match the colour of bear
Step 5.Gently fill with fibrefill as you sew up. Do not fill with cotton wool.
Step 6.Embroider the eyes with French Knots, and the nose & mouth with straight stitches, using one strand of DMC, or similar, in light brown or grey (not black).
