FLEECE SCARF

Instructions
Read all instructions carefully before commencing the project.
Scarf 1
Step 1 - Straighten one end of the fleece and cut a 24cm wide strip across the width and trim off selvedge.
Step 2 - Measure 12cm up from one end and rule across. Mark along the line at 1.5cm intervals. Cut the fringe from the end up 12cm to the each 1.5cm mark. Knot first two strips together at the top then continue across.
Step 3 - Repeat step two for the other end.
Option - Instead of knotting two strips together knot each strip separately.
Scarf 2
Step 1 - Straighten one end of the fleece and cut a 26cm wide strip across the width and trim off selvedge.
Step 2 - Measure 2.5cm up from one end and mark at 2cm intervals. Make a small hole at each 2cm interval. Repeat the step to make the other end.
Step 3 - From the same fabric or a contrasting/coordinating fabric cut 22 strips 2.5cm x 34cm. Thread a strip through one hole and knot ends together. Repeat for all holes across each end.
Scarf 3
Step 1 - On one end of the fleece and cut a 20cm wide strip across the width and trim off selvedge.
Step 2 - Fold strip in half lengthways. Measure 2.5cm down from the fold and mark at 2.5cm intervals along the length. Cut from the straight edge up to 2.5cm line at 2.5cm intervals. Open out flat. This is the base of the scarf.
Step 3 - From two or more contrasting/coordinating fabrics cut approx. 60 strips 2.5cm x 25cm. With the base out flat knot one contrasting/coordinating strip around the centre of the long base strip. Repeat along the length alternating strips as desired. When finished shake scarf vigorously to ruffle all strips.
Scarf 4
Step 1 - Choose two contrasting and coordinating colours of fleece. Straighten one end of the fleece and cut a 18cm wide strip across the width and trim off selvedge. Repeat for the second colour.
Step 2 - Cut each strip cut into 35cm lengths to make 8 rectangles 1cm x 35cm. layout end to end alternating the colours. Measure 7cm up from the end and mark at 3cm intervals. Do this on each end of all rectangles.
Step 3 - Knot the rectangles together across the top and bottom edges. Knot each strip separately along the top edge of the first and along the bottom edge of the last rectangle.
