  • Passioknit Marlo Cotton Yarn
    - Quantity 12 (14-16) x 50g balls
  • A 5.50mm (US I/9), (UK 5) crochet hook size that gives correct tension/gauge.
  • Yarn Needle

TENSION

12 sts and 6.5 rows to 10cm/4 ins over patt, using 5.50mm hook (US I/9), (UK 5).

INSTRUCTIONS

ABBREVIATION

Note - Instructions are given in UK/Australian terminology.

beg - begin/ning, ch - chain, cont - continue, dc - double crochet, rep - repeat, RS - right side, sl st - slip st, st/s - stitch/es, tr - treble, WS - wrong side.

Back

Using 5.50mm hook, make 59 (65-71) ch

1st Row: Miss 3ch, 1tr in each of next 3ch * 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of next 5ch, rep from * to last 5ch, 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of last 4ch ... 48 (52-57) tr.

2nd Row: 3ch, * 1tr in each of next 3 sts * 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of next 5ch, rep from * to last 5 sts, 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of last 4 sts. Rep 2nd row twice.

5th Row: 3ch, * 1tr in next st, 1ch, miss next st, 1ch, rep from * to last st, 1tr in last st.

6th Row: As 2nd row. Rows 2 to 6 incl form patt.
Cont in patt until work measures approx. 60cm from beg, ending with a 4th patt row.

FRONT

Work as for Back until front is 2 rows less than Back.

Shape Neck

Next Row: 3ch, * 1tr in each of next 3 sts, (1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of next 5ch) twice, * 1ch, miss 1ch, 1dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * to last 17 sts, (1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of next 5ch) twice 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr in each of last 4 sts. Rep last row once. Fasten off.

FINISHING

Join should seams. Place a marker on side edge of front and back 23 (24-25) cm down from should seam, to make armholes. Join side seams to markers.

Lower Band: With RS facing, using 5.50mm hook, work 1 round dc evenly around lower edge, sl st into first dc at beg.

Armhole Bands: work as for Lower Band.

Neckband: work as for Lower Band.

Sew in ends.
