Instructions

Note: Bag is worked in continuous rnds. Join in a new ball by opening out and laying one end over the other, sew by machine or hand. If sewn by machine, yarn may 'stick' to machine bed. Use tissue or baking paper underneath and tear away.

Using 9 mm hook, make 2ch.

1st Rnd (RS) - 9dc in 2nd ch from hook, pm (place marker) on last st.

2nd Rnd (RS) - 2dc in each st ... 18sts, rpm (remove & place marker).

3rd Rnd - *2dc, in next st, 1dc in next st*, rep from *to* to end of rnd ... 27sts, rpm.

4th Rnd - *2dc, in next st, 1dc in next 2sts*, rep from *to* to end of rnd ... 36sts, rpm.

5th Rnd - *2dc, in next st, 1 dc in next 3 sts* rep from *to* to end of rnd ... 45sts, rpm.

6th Rnd - *2dc, in next st, 1 dc in next 4 sts*, rep from *to* to end of rnd ... 54sts, rpm.
Next Rnd - 1 dc in each st, rpm.

Next Rnd - 1dc in back loop only of each st to one st before marker, slst in next st, rpm.

Next Rnd - 1dc in each st to end of rnd, rpm.

Rep last rnd 11 times more (or more, as desired).

Next Rnd - Using size 10 mm hook, work 1htr in each st, rpm.

Rep last rnd 4 times more, finishing last rnd with 1dc in next 2sts, slst in next 2sts, fasten off.

Strap

Using 9 mm hook, make 22ch, turn.

1st Row (RS) - 1htr in 3rd ch from hook, 1htr in each ch to end ... 20htr, turn.

2nd Row (WS) - slst in each st to end of row, (slst, 1ch, slst) in turning 2ch at beg of 1st Row, cont on working in each ch again of 1st Row, slst in each ch to end, fasten off leaving long tail for sewing.

Finishing

Attach Bag Handles as per instructions on packet, spaced approx. 10 to 12sts apart. Attach Press Lock Clasp to strap following instructions on packet. Sew strap to Back of Bag in centre between handles, 3 rows form edge using tail left on strap. Attach Press Lock on Front of Bag in centre between handles, 5 rows from top edge, following instructions on packet.

Weave in ends, following stitches to conceal.
