CREPE PAPER FLORAL WREATH

Crepe Paper Floral Wreath Project

Level: Easy

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Jolly & Joy DIY Metal Wire Wreath Green 45 cm
  • Die Cuts With A View Crepe Petal Paper 10 x 49 in an assortment of colours
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1- Cut strips of crepe paper in varying width between 1"-3". The wider the strip, the larger your flower will be. Have fun with this, cut different colours in different sizes, or plan uniformed sizes if you have a pattern in mind.

Step 2- Start with a single strip, and fold in half, in half again and so on, until the crepe paper bundle is .5"-2" wide. Each petal will be as wide you make your bundle.

Step 3- Cut through the layers of your bundle at one end, be sure to cut the open end, not the folded edges. You can use the templates provided or make up your own shapes. Try a variety of size and shapes.

Step 4- Once cut, unfold your bundle. You will have a long strip with petals cut into the top edge.

To create your flowers, begin to roll the strip from one end, until the entire strip is wrapped. Hot glue the bottom to hold the wrap in place. You can now stretch out the petals to open up your flower.

Tip: This crepe paper has a generous amount of give, for a nice finish you can bend each petal between your thumb and forefinger to curl the petals.

Step 5- Once you have created as many flowers as desired, you can now arrange them, and hot glue them carefully into place on your wire wreath!
