balls 3rd Contrast (C3), 2, 2, 3, 3, balls 4th Contrast (C4)

  • 1 pair each of 4.00mm knitting needles or size required to give correct tension
  • Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

TENSION

22 sts x 29 rows to 10cm over purl fabric st, using 4.00mm needles

INSTRUCTIONS

BACK

Using 4.00mm needles and M, cast on 122

(134-144-156) sts

Work 32 rows purl fabric

Using C1, work 32 rows purl fabric

Using C2, work 32 rows purl fabric

Using C3, work 32 rows purl fabric

Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row to mark beg of armholes, as there is no armhole shaping**

Using C1, work 32 rows purl fabric

Using C4 for rem, work 32 (36-38-42) purl fabric

SHAPE SHOULDERS

Cast off 9 (11-12-13) sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 10 (10-12-14) sts at beg of foll 2 rows

Cast off rem 66 (70-72-76) sts

Using C4 for rem, dec one st at neck edge in 3rd (3rd-next-next) row, then in every foll
