MARGARET SHEERS
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Margaret sheer fabric
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing machine and matching thread
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Measure your window height, and add 20cms onto your height for top and bottom hems.
Step 2 - Cut fabric to this length (The fabric is 150cm wide so multiple drops will be needed to cover the width of the window).
Step 3 - Fold back the top edge of your curtain fabric by 2cm and press. Fold over the pressed seam again by 8cm and press again. Pin the fabric in place and sew along the bottom crease of the top hem about half a centimetre from the edge. This completes the rod pocket.
Step 4 - Repeat for the bottom hem, pining and sewing as you go.
Step 5 - The scallop side edges are the feature and do not need to be hemmed.
