WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 1 metre of Santiago Hasina fabric
- 1 metre of Plain Duck Fabric Black (for back & piping)
- Matching thread
- Scissors
- 2 metres medium sew on interfacing

INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Cut the Hasina fabric for the front panels in the following size: 47cm x 37 cm, this includes 2cm for seam allowances.
Step 2. Cut out the Plain Duck fabric for the backing to the same size, 47cm x 37cm.
Step 3. For the piping, cut Plain Duck fabric into 10x165cm strip. This will bond the back of the placemat to the front.
Step 4. Cut the sew-on interfacing to 45x35cm for the inner of the placemat.
Step 5. To begin assembling the placemat, sew the interfacing to the back panel.
Step 6. Place the front panel over the interfacing & back panel and pin together.
Step 7. To join all layers together, fold piping over the edge of the 3 layers of fabric and sew together around all edges.
Your placemat is ready.
