Tension: 8.5 Stitches x 12 Rows to give 10cm Square in Stocking St using 10.00mm Knitting needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

Abbreviations

K=knit, P=purl, St/s=stitch/es, RS=right side, WS=wrong side, K2tog = knit 2 stitches together, Inc = increase by knitting into the row below of the next stitch through the first loop, then knitting into the next stitch, Dec = Decrease by knitting or purling 2 stitches together, rem = remain/ing.


Back

Using 7.50mm needles and Col1, cast on 41[45, 49, 53] sts, and commence 1 x 1 rib as follows:

Row 1(RS): K2, (P1, K1) to last st, K1.

Row 2(WS): (K1, P1) to last st, K1.

Repeat last 2 rows 5 more times, 12 rows in total.

Change to 10.00mm needles and MC and work in Stocking Stitch starting with a knit row, until back measures 34[34, 36, 36] cms from the beg, ending with a purl row.


Armhole Shaping

Cast on 6 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. 53[57, 61, 65] sts,

Continue in Stocking St until work measures 56[56, 60, 60] cms from the beg ending with a purl row.


Shape Shoulder & Back Neck

Cast off 9[10, 10, 11] stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.

Cast off 9[9, 10, 11] stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.

Place rem 17[19, 21, 21] on a stitch holder.


Front

Work as for back until the front is 2 rows less than the back before shoulder shaping.


Shape Left Shoulder & Neck

Row 1: K 21[22, 23, 25] sts, turn.

Row 2: P2tog, purl to end.

Row 3: Cast off 9[10, 10, 11] knit to last 2 sts, K2tog.

Row 4: P2tog, Purl to end.

Row 5: Cast off remaining 9[9, 10, 11]sts. Bind off.


Centre Front Neck

Place next 11[13, 15, 15] sts on a holder.


Shape Left Shoulder & Neck

Row 1: Rejoin yarn to remain 21[22, 23, 25] sts, and knit to end.

Row 2: Purl to last 2 sts, P2tog,

Row 3: K2tog. Knit to end.

Row 4: Cast off 9[10, 10, 11] purl to last 2 sts, P2tog.

Row 5: Knit 1 row.

Row 6: Cast off remaining 9[9, 10, 11]sts. Bind off.


Sleeves - Make 2

Using 7.50mm needles and Col1 cast on 29[29, 31, 31] sts, and work 12 rows of 1 x 1 rib as for back


Shaping

Change to 10mm needles and increase across the first row as follows:

Inc in next 2 sts, (K1, inc) to last 3 sts, K1, inc in next 2 sts. 45[45, 48, 48] sts,

Starting with a purl row work in Stocking Stitch until sleeve measures 44[44, 46,46], from the beg, ending with a purl row.

Cast off loosely knitways.


Collar

Using 8.00mm Circular needle and MC, and starting at the left front, pick up 10 sts along the left front neck shaping, knit across the 11[13, 15, 15] sts on the holder for the front next, knit up 10 sts along the right front neck shaping, knit across the 17[19, 21, 21] sts on the holder for the back neck. 48[52, 56, 56] sts,

Work in 1 x 1 rib (K1, P1) until collar measures 25 cms from the beg

Cast off in rib.


Finishing

With right sides facing, pin shoulders, sew using a back stitch.

Centre sleeve cast off edge between the cast on of body, pin and sew using a back stitch.

Pin and sew sleeve and side seams.

Weave in ends.
