BABY WONDER GARTER STITCH BOOTIES

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• "Bella Baby" Baby Wonder 4ply 100g x 1 ball.
• 1 pair 3mm knitting needles or size required to give correct tension
• A length of round elastic if desired.
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

SIZE

To Fit Foot Length (approx): 8 cm (0-6 Months), 10 cm (6-12 Months)

TENSION

29 sts and x 58 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 3mm needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

BOOTIES (make 2)

Beg Sole -

Using 3mm needles, cast on 43 (47) sts.

1st row (RS) - Inc in first st, K19 (21), inc once in each of next 2 sts, K19 (21), inc in next st, K1 ... 47 (51) sts.
2nd and foll alt rows - Knit.
3rd row - Inc in first st, K21 (23), inc once in each of next 2 sts, K21 (23), inc in next st, K1 ... 51 (55) sts.
5th row - Inc in first st, K23 (25), inc once in each of next 2 sts, K23 (25), inc in next st, K1 ... 55 (59) sts.
7th row - Inc in first st, K25 (27), inc once in each of next 2 sts, K25 (27), inc in next st, K1 ... 59 (63) sts.
9th row - Inc in first st, K27 (29), inc once in each of next 2 sts, K27 (29), inc in next st, K1 ... 63 (67) sts.
10th row - Knit, thus completing sole shaping.

Knit 16 rows garter st.

Shape Foot -

1st row (RS) - K26 (28), (K2tog) twice, K3, (sl 1, K1, psso) twice, K26 (28) ... 59 (63) sts.
2nd and foll alt rows - Knit.
3rd row - K24 (26), (K2tog) twice, K3, (sl 1, K1, psso) twice, K24 (26) ... 55 (59) sts.
5th row - K22 (24), (K2tog) twice, K3, (sl 1, K1, psso) twice, K22 (24) ... 51 (55) sts.
7th row - K20 (22), (K2tog) twice, K3, (sl 1, K1, psso) twice, K20 (22) ... 47 (51) sts.
9th row - K18 (20), (K2tog) twice, K3, (sl 1, K1, psso) twice, K18 (20) ... 43 (47) sts.
10th row - Knit.

Cast off loosely.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, join heel and sole seams. If desired, thread a length of round elastic through last row on WS of
each Bootee and draw up to fit.
