My Kitchen Rules Australia is back and better than ever for its exciting 14th season, airing in New Zealand exclusively on TVNZ 2, premiering October 20th at 7 pm. The beloved cooking show revolves around contestants hosting their competitors and judges in their homes around the country. Competitive Brothers: Rob and Liam
Meet Rob and Liam
Competitive brothers Rob and Liam love surfing, sports and winning. Their 18-month age gap has made them the best of mates, but also each other's greatest competitor. Rob, the eldest, however, claims being a tradie makes him much tougher than his cocktail-shaking younger brother.
Rob and Liam learned to cook by helping their mother, "an absolute weapon in the kitchen", who they still call for tips. They describe their style as "cooking with fire" with Rob a master of the grill and Liam passionate about technique and polish.
Meet Ash and Cassie
Friends, young-mums, self-professed "food science nerds" and dietitians, Ash and Cassie are on a two-woman mission to educate Australians on healthy eating and replace the Big Mac with Big Macros - and they'll do it with the brightest of smiles. Cassie, who grew up in Austria, is an avid beach-lover and is keen to display her Austrian/Filipino origins. Ash also loves the outdoors, enjoying fishing and cooking her catch.
Ready to showcase their "MediterrAsian" food with clever, healthy ingredient substitutions, Ash and Cassie are ready to show Australians how tasty a healthy diet can be.
Meet Simone and Viviana
Confident, passionate, edgy and honest; best friends Simone and Viviana met three years ago and are now ready to serve their "traditional Italian with a twist" food on MKR.
Simone and Viviana are very open, opinionated and have no qualms speaking their minds. They are often horrified at some of the 'Italian' dishes they have eaten in Australia and firm believers that pineapples have no place on pizza and cream does not belong in Carbonara! Fashion meets food when these best friends bring "good food, style and only good vibes" to the table.
Meet Danny and Sonia
Larger than life brother and sister Danny and Sonia are ready for a good time in and out of the kitchen! Growing up in a small rural town in far North Queensland, these siblings were raised to hunt, fish and cook.
Danny is a butcher by trade and Sonia is a hard-working mum of two. The siblings absorbed their homestyle cooking style and hard yakka work ethic from their Nonna and firmly believe food is home and home is where their heart is.
Meet Hannah and Lawrence
Together for 18 months, Hannah and Lawrence are touchy, smiley and inseparable. Lawrence credits his Grandy in Belgium for teaching him culture, history and food, however "felt like he won the lotto" when he met Hannah. Hannah's cooking style runs on instinct while Lawrence measures to perfection but they both agree marriage is on the table if they win MKR.
Meet Mike and Pete
Long-time friends Mike and Pete have Italian heritage and a passion for authentic, home-style cooking. Pete promises to bring flair to the plating, while Mike's unfiltered banter will add spice to the conversation and ruffle feathers at the table.
Mike and Pete will be serving refined Italian classics and honouring their family traditions. The duo shares a passion for gardening, and Mike prides himself on his garden-to-plate cooking. Mike dreams of turning his garden into a place where he can educate kids on sustainable food, while Pete dreams of writing a cookbook full of his family recipes.
Meet Janey and Maddie
These glamorous city gals enjoy the finer things in life; oysters, champagne, and a day at the races. Janey’s life motto is ‘looking your best and being your best’, and the same goes for her food! Millennial Maddie is health conscious and super trendy, loving the designer brands just like her mother.
Mother and daughter, Janey and Maddie, promise to bring sophistication to the MKR kitchen with their strength in making dishes refined with simple ingredients.
Meet Robert and Andrea
Married couple Robert and Andrea are eager to be the first German team to win MKR. Dual citizens who have been in Australia since 2006, they share a passion for showcasing the richness of German cuisine and aspire to treat Australia to the exquisite flavours and vibrant dishes from their homeland.
Flamboyant and direct, Robert's food inspiration comes from his passion to promote authentic German flavours. On the other hand, Andrea demonstrates her love for helping people in and out of the kitchen. Her compassionate nature translates into her cooking, creating meals that not only tantalise taste buds but also nourish the soul. With their unique blend of culinary expertise, cultural pride and formidable determination, Robert and Andrea are ready to make their mark on MKR.
