Ponte knit, also known as double knit, is an easy to use fabric ideal for making pants, dresses, skirts or tops. It is heavier and thicker than standard jersey, has a subtle sheen and keeps its shape and colour well. Due to the tightness of the knit, this material does not require finishing or hemming. This material is composed of 65% rayon, 30% nylon and 5% elastane. It is supplied in a 148 cm width and sold by the metre.
