Add a splash of colour and elements of nature into your handmade garments with this Watermark Palm Printed 127 cm Cotton Elastane Sateen Fabric. Cotton elastane sateen can be used in casual and special occasion garments that require stretch-factor, such as lightweight pants, dresses and skirts. Cotton sateen is a breathable fabric woven from combed or long cotton fibres that are mercerised to create a lustrous sheen, soft hand-feel and fluid drape. This material is composed of 97% cotton and 3% elastane. It is supplied in a 127 cm width and is sold by the metre. Additional Information: Pre-wash, dry and flatten your fabric before sewing.
If using a lining for your garment, be sure to use a stretch lining.
Do not stretch your fabric during construction.
Even though it is stretch, the high cotton content means it will hold shape well during sewing.
Stitch with a straight or narrow zig-zag stitch. Do not use a stretch stitch.
Use a regular universal needle. Do not use a stretch needle.
