Can I purchase fitted sheets at Spotlight?
Spotlight offers a large selection of fitted sheets in its bed linen range, as well as flat sheets, pillowcases, and sheet sets. Our range of fitted sheets at Spotlight are available in single, king single, double, queen and king size and come in a variety of colours, fabrics and designs.
Why use fitted sheets?
Fitted sheets are specifically designed with an elastic on each corner in order to make them fit perfectly around your mattress. Once placed over the mattress, you will not have to worry about the sheet moving in the night, even if you are a very restless sleeper. Many people use a fitted sheet both for both comfort and appearance as well as to protect their mattress.
Why are there so many different fitted sheets available at Spotlight?
Spotlight stocks bed linen from a number of leading manufacturers such as KOO, Emerald Hill and Brampton House among others. Each manufacturer has one or more ranges of bed linen of varying quality and thread count. The thread count is applied to all cotton bed sheets and the higher the thread count, the softer and longer lasting the sheet usually is. Sheets with a very high thread count often get even softer after several washes. Fitted sheets can be purchased by themselves, together with flat sheets and pillowcases, or as complete sheet set.
Some fitted sheets at Spotlight are also sold as fitted sheet sets, which means they will include one (for a single) or two (for double, queen and king size) pillow cases, but no matching flat sheet. Combine with a quilt cover set in a similar colour for a coordinated look in your bedroom.
How do I care for my fitted sheets?
Fitted sheets are generally laundered like all bed linen, but please check the washing instructions on the label and make sure that dark or bright colours are washed separately before first use and for some time afterwards. Due to their elastic corners they are not always easy to iron, but gentle shaping and folding after drying is often enough, since their fitted shape pulls them straight when they are put on the bed.
