Make your handmade garments pop with vibrant colour by using this Stripe Patterned 112 cm Sherpa Poncho Fabric in your work. This fabric is ideal for making ponchos, jackets, non-stretch hoodies and other outerwear pieces. It can also be crafted into bags and pencil cases or used in home décor and upholstery projects. Poncho is a thick fabric with a slightly rough hand feel due to its textural weave. This material is composed of 100% cotton. It is supplied in a 112 cm width and sold by the metre. Finish your garments with interesting buttons, zips or eyelets from Spotlight's haberdashery section in-store or online.

Additional Information: Pre-wash, dry and flatten your fabric prior to sewing.
Pre-washing will make the fabric softer for sewing and minimise any later shrinkage.
Use a water soluble pen to mark your pattern.
Use sharp scissors.
Use a zig zag or serging stitch on the raw edges straight after cutting.
Use thicker pins or clips to hold your pattern together.
Use a jean needle and select the appropriate needle for the fabric thickness.
A Teflon foot or walking foot may be beneficial.
Use a heavy duty thread.
Press seams to minimise bulk.
