SCULPEY MODELLING CLAY BUNNY NAPKIN RINGS

Instructions:

Step 1- Break off a small piece of your white modeling clay and roll in your hands to create the shape of the bunny body. The clay will warm with the heat of your hands, and become malleable. Using a rounded Sculpey tool, press in dints where your bunny's legs and head will join. Gentle score these areas with a pointed Sculpey tool.

Step 2- Break off four smaller pieces of your white clay for the legs. Remember bottom legs will be a little larger than the top arms. Roll these in your hands, and manipulate the clay into a shape you are happy with, then score the clay where the legs will connect to the body.

Once you are happy with the position of the legs, connect the clay using a flat Sculpey tool to join and smooth out the seams.

Step 3- Using your pink Sculpey clay, take a small piece and roll into a ball. Using your thumb and forefinger, press into a little disc as wide as the top of the body. This will become the ribbon of the bow tied around the bunny's neck. Next create a small bow using your Sculpey tools, and connect to the side of the ribbon piece, in the same manner as the legs.

Step 4- Next create the head and ears using your Sculpey tools. Create a nose and mouth using a pointed Sculpey tool and create a small dint to apply little blue eyes! Attach the head in the above manner.

Step 5- To make the ring, break off a larger piece of white clay. Roll this into a long strip- measure the length needed for your ring. Flatten using an acrylic rolling pin. Join the ends together to create a circle, and attach to the bunny, ensuring a strong connection.

Step 6- Decorate with a rose using a small amount of pink clay. Roll into a strip, and flatten with your rolling pin. Carefully roll this into itself to create your rose. Create leaves using your Sculpey tools, attach to the rose, and apply to your napkin ring.

Step 7- Carefully follow the baking instructions, do not over bake. Allow to cool.

Step 8- Hot glue a small craft pompom to the tail area of your bunny.

Your napkin rings are ready!
