WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Derivan Acrylic paint
• Derivan Impasto Medium
• Semco Canvas 12 x 16" x 2
• Semco palette
• Crafters choice paint brushes
• Francheville Floating frame (black 12 x 16")

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1.Decide on design and lightly draw onto canvas the rough outline.

Step 2.Using the pallet knife paint the impasto medium onto the canvas in areas you wish to be raised. Allow to dry.

Step 3. Start painting the background of the canvas first. We chose a dark navy. You may need to do a few coats to get a solid colour.

Step 4. While the background dries paint the base layer for the flower and stems/leaves. You want the canvas to be fully painting with a base layer of paint so you can build up levels on top of it.

Step 5. Once the canvas is dry, start to build up your colours by using lots of paint in large layered brush strokes.

Step 6.The style of this painting is very expressive so remember it doesn't need to be "perfect" but once you are happy with the overall look of the painting you can go back over with a smaller brush to create some lighter shaded areas and more detailed sections.

Step 7. Repeat this process for the other canvas. Once both are dry hang in the Francheville Floating frames to create a professional looking piece of art for your home!
