FLINDERS TABLE MAT SET
What you'll need:
- 1 Ball 'Four Seasons' Flinders 8 ply Cotton 50g
- (Coaster 7 per ball)
- (Medium 3 per ball)
- (Large 1 per ball)
- 50mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Tape measure
- Stitch Marker
Finished Size:
- Coaster: 15cms Diametre (inc Fringe)
- Medium: 24cms Diametre (inc Fringe)
- Large: 34cms Diametre (inc Fringe)

ch = chain
dc = double crochet

Instructions
Coaster
Make a Magic Loop.
Rnd 1(RS): 1 ch, 6dc in ring, tighten ring, sl st in first dc. Place marker for start of round, as work will continue without a step with a new chain, marker to be replaced at the end of each round.
Rnd 2: 2 dc in each dc of round 1. (12 Sts.)
Rnd 3: 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (18 Sts.)
Rnd 4: 1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (24Sts.)
Rnd 5: 1 dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (30 Sts.)
Rnd 6: 1 dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (36 Sts.)
Rnd 7: 1 dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (42 Sts.)
Rnd 8: 1 dc in next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (48 Sts.)
Rnd 9: 1 dc in next 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (54 Sts.)
Rnd 10: 1 dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (60 Sts.)
Rnd 11: 1 dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in next dc of last rnd. (66 Sts.)
Bind off leave a 5cm tail, this can be incorporated in the fringe,
Fringe
Cut lengths of yarn 10cms long, this can be done quickly by wrapping yarn around a 5cms wide solid item, such as a ruler. Then cut one side.
Insert hook from back to front through a dc of last round.
Fold 1 x 10cm length in half and drawn through stitch to form a loop.
Draw the 2 ends through the loop and tighten.
Repeat around the Coaster.
Fray ends using a comb.
Press and trim back to 2.5cms
Medium Table Mat
Follow the instructions for the Coaster to Rnd 11.
Continue increasing in this same manner until there are 138 sts.
Which is 23 rows, with the last row being '1 dc in next 21 dc, 2 dc in next dc'.
Bind off leave a 5cm tail, this can be incorporated in the fringe,
Repeat Fringe as for Coaster.
Large Table Mat
Follow the instructions for the Coaster to Rnd 11.
Continue increasing in this same manner until there are 210 sts.
Which is 35 rows, with the last row being 1 dc in next 33 dc, 2 dc in next dc.
Bind off leave a 5cm tail, this can be incorporated in the fringe,
Repeat Fringe as for Coaster.
Finishing
Weave in loose end of Magic Loop.
