What you'll need:
- Fabric 1 - Main colour
- Fabric 2 - Contrast
- Wadding
- Zip - 32cm (or longer)
- Zipper foot
- Matching Thread
Instructions:
Step 1- Using the template, cut 1 x fabric 1, 1 x fabric 2, and 1 x wadding. With right sides outwards, fold fabrics 1 & 2 in half lengthwise. Press with an iron and open fabric out.
Step 2- Place fabric 1 right side up on top of wadding. Open zip. Place left hand side of zip face down on right hand side of fabric 1. Starting at centre top, pin and stitch in place using a zipper foot, folding zipper tab over at the start. Repeat for the left hand side.
Step 3- Place fabric 2 face down on top of fabric 1 and zipper. Pin and stitch around the "U" shape. Clip curves and turn right side out. Press with an iron.
Step 4- Using a regular machine foot, zig zag stitch across the open bottom edge of pouch.
Step 5- Fold in half lengthwise with fabric 2 on the outside. Close the zip halfway along edge. Straight stitch across the bottom edge above the zig zag line. Trim zip ends and corners. Turn right side out.
