COLOURFUL SHEEP

INSTRUCTIONS

Tip - When working with Penne velvet ensure that all the template pieces are cut with the fur going in one direction. Always run your hand down the surface of the fabric to check before you cut!

Headband

Step 1 - Measure around the child head with elastic to create a comfortable headband for the ears. Cut the elastic and sew ends together.

Step 2 - Using the template provided cut four earpieces. Lay the pieces so that right sides are facing and that the fur is all going in the same direction.

Step 3 - Take one ear and sew around the curved edge leaving the straight cut open. Turn out the ear. Repeat for the second ear.

Step 4- Pin ears to the top of the elastic in desired positioning. Straight stitch the ears to the headband.

Wrist scrunchies

Step 1. With right sides facing, fold fabric in half aligning long edges, pin together.

Step 2. Sew long edges together with a 1cm seam allowance leaving short ends open.

Step 3. Turn fabric right way out, fold under 1cm along one of the short open ends.

Step 4. Thread elastic through fabric strip with help of the safety pin. Overlap ends of elastic by 3cm and sew together securely.

Step 5. Insert the raw open end of fabric strip into the folded end of fabric by at least 1cm and pin closed. Sew end together to secure.

Sheep Tunic

Step 1 - Using the template, cute two tunic pieces on the fold.

Tip - Before cutting the template check to see if the length is suitable for the child. Adjust at the shoulder strap OR of the bottom of the template to accommodate for various heights in children.

Step 2- Lay the back of the tunic right side facing the front of the tunic. Straight stitch the shoulder and side seams to create the tunic.
