WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 1.5m of Mushroom Printed Cotton, 120cm
- Matching Thread
- Tracing Paper for Pattern
- 5cm of Velcro (or Velcro dot)
Step 1. Draw out the pattern below (excluding the ties) on the tracing paper using below standard measurements for an adult apron.
Step 2. Cut the fabric out according to the shape of the pattern, ensuring you add an extra 3cm all around for seam allowances.
Step 3. Cut 2 x 75cm x 8cm wide rectangles to use for the ties.
Step 4. Cut out a 30cm x 20cm piece of fabric to use for the pocket. Sew this on to the main panel of the apron.
Step 5. Tri-fold these through the width and sew through the centre to make 2 ties 75cm x approx. 2.65cm wide.
Step 6. Hem all edges of the main apron panel (excluding the neck) and attach the ties to each side.
Step 7. For the neck, cut open the circle and hem both inner and outer edges. Sew Velcro onto both of the opening edges. This will be were you fasten the apron to the neck.
