Could I use these paper pads for decoupage projects?

Decoupage comes from the French decouper, meaning to cut out, and it is a fabulous way of adding personality and life to your crafty creations. The process allows for an appearance of depth and can include lots of different materials. It is a particularly popular method for decorating home decor items, such as vases, photo frames and even large items such as dressers or storage boxes. The possibilities truly are endless, and the only limit is your imagination! To decoupage your chosen piece, cut out the papers that you require.

You could do simple shapes, use themed and printed paper such as these, or you could even include photographs for an extra personalised touch. Prepare your surface ensuring that it is clean and dry, and you should also sand down any imperfections if necessary. Use craft glue or PVA glue, 50% glue and 50% water, applying a thin layer of to your surface before beginning to apply the papers. Ensure that each layer is dry before applying the next one. Finish your project with a coat of glue, and then after this has dried apply an appropriate varnish or lacquer.
