DENIM HAND SANITIZER HOLDERS

INSTRUCTIONS

Note- 1cm seam allowance used throughout unless stated.

Step 1- From templates provided, cut:

• 2x tab pieces
• 4x body pieces
• 9cm x 5cm strip

Step 2- Sew a line of stay stitching around the base and curved edges of each body piece.

With right sides facing, pin two of the body pieces together. Sew each side from the top edge down to the marking on the curved base edge with a 1cm seam allowance. Clip to marking, careful not to cut through the stay stitching. Trim and clip curves. Press base opening seam allowance along stitching. Repeat with other two body pieces. Turn sewn one-piece right way out, press.

Step 3- Place the right way out body inside the inside the other body piece, aligning all seams.

Pull out the clip base opening seam allowances and pin each side together. Sew allowances to together. Turn holder right way out with lining to inside, press.

Press under seam allowance along the top of holder.

Step 4- Press under 1cm along both long edges of the fabric strip. Then aligning pressed edges fold strip in half and press flat. Pin and sew the strip along both long edges of the strip.

Insert strip through a lobster clasp and loop strip basting the raw edges together.

Step 5- Sew a hook & loop dot to the right side of one of the tab pieces at the pointed end, 2cm in from the outer edges.

With right sides facing pin and sew the tab fabric pieces together leaving the top straight edge open. Trim and clip seams turn right way out and press. Top stitch around all edges.

Step 6- Insert by 1cm and pin the straight end of the tab inside the back opening of the body between the lining and body seam allowances. Insert and pin the raw edges of the strip to the back of the tab, between the outer body and tab pieces.

Top stitch around all upper edges of holder securing the tab and strip within the stitching.

Sew a hook & loop dot to the outer front of holder. To align with the dot on the tab.
