Prepping and cutting your fabrics will take time.
Make a toile or muslin to ensure you are happy with the fit of the pattern, adjust prior to cutting your fabric.
If your sequin garment requires a lining, it is recommended to sew the lining first, to grow accustomed to the pattern.
Ensure you cut your pattern in the direction of the nap for your sequin fabric.
Sequin fabrics may blunt and knick your scissors, do not use your best scissors.
Hold your pieces together with flat head pins or clips.
Remove all sequins from the seam allowance of your pattern to reduce bulk.
Use a roller foot to prevent fraying and a stabiliser for seams.
Use a fine, universal needle to reduce the likelihood of fabric damage: 60/8, 65/9 or 70/10.
