Spotlight Gift and eGift Cards
What is a Spotlight Gift and eGift card?
A Spotlight Gift card is a pre-paid card which can be used for purchases with Spotlight. When purchasing a Gift card in a Spotlight store simply nominate a dollar value to put on the card, and pay for it as you would a regular transaction. These cards are fantastic presents for friends and family as they can be used to make purchases online and in store.
Spotlight also offers eGift cards (electronic versions of the Gift card) for Australian, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysian customers. Buy an eGift Card and have it delivered via email within 1 business day.
Can I use a Spotlight Gift and eGift Card Online?
Yes, Spotlight cards can be used in our online store like you would a credit card.
How do I use a Spotlight Gift or eGift Card?
Use your Spotlight Gift and eGift card online and at any store of the cards issuing country.
Note: Photo ID is required when redeeming a Spotlight eGift Card instore.
How can I buy a Spotlight Gift Card?
Spotlight Gift Cards can be purchased at any Spotlight store. Spotlight eGift cards are available online.
Validity and expiry of Gift Cards
Gift cards are valid for two years from the date of issue. eGift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Any balance that remains on a card will not be available for use after the card’s expiry date.
What can I purchase?
You can purchase any item sold at any Spotlight store in the Gift or eGift cards purchased country.
Can I get cash refund using my gift card?
You cannot redeem your Gift and eGift card for cash.
What happens if I lose my Gift Card?
Treat your Gift and eGift cards like cash. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced or refunded. If at some point your card becomes lost or stolen you can report this to our Customer Care Centre and they can freeze the remaining balance and reissue a new card to you.
Can I return or cancel my Card?
Gift and eGift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or any other tender type.
How do I check my Card balance and transaction history?
You can check your card balance instore or by contacting the Customer Care Centre.
Can I reuse my Card?
Gift and eGift cards can only be used once. Once the money on the card is depleted you should destroy the card by cutting it in half diagonally.
Can I exchange items I have purchased with a Card?
Goods which are purchased solely or in part with a Gift or eGift card may be exchanged or returned subject to the exchange and returns policy of Spotlight. Any amount owed back will be issued on a new gift card.
Can my card be re-issued?
Re-issue of faulty, damaged or lost Gift and eGift cards is not available unless the cards are proven to be faulty, damaged or lost as a result of the production process or otherwise due to the fault of Spotlight.
Are there any hidden charges or service fees?

Please treat Gift cards and eGift cards as cash. Gift cards and eGift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Once activated they may be redeemed for purchases at any Spotlight store or site in the country of purchase. They cannot be redeemed for cash.
No change is given and any balance that remains on the card can only be used in part against future purchases at Spotlight stores / sites. The card expires two years after purchase. Any balance that remains on the Gift or eGift Card after expiry will not be available for use. A RM 30 minimum value must be loaded at time of purchase. Gift and or eGift cards cannot be reloaded. Maximum value per Gift or eGift cards is RM 1,500.
