What can I use trims for?

They're a great way to add a decorative finishing touch to hems and seamlines, and can be even used to cover widths of fabric for a truly customised textile. How to attach trims?

Depending on your project you can attach trims to fabric either by hand sewing them or using a sewing machine. Make sure you use a suitable hand or machine needle for your fabric type to avoid damaging your garment or the trim itself. Delicate or chunky trims are best attached by hand to keep the stitches invisible, whereas a straight machine stitch or zig zag stitch is ideal for attaching trims like pom pom trims which have a band running along the top. If sewing your trims is not possible, you can also use craft glue & adhesives to attach trims to objects like lampshades or jewellery boxes.
