Pre-wash, dry and flatten your fabric prior to sewing.
Follow the grain line of the fabric when laying out pattern pieces prior to cutting.
Use scissors or a rotary cutter.
Accurate marking is essential for your pattern, use marking pencils and tracing paper to detail features such as darts or pleats.
Use pins to hold your pattern together for sewing.
Linen and linen blends are easy to sew, use a basic thread for sewing.
Use a new universal needle: 90/15 or 100/16.
Sew with a shorter stitch length.
Serging or zig zag stitch can be beneficial for seams.
For a professional finish, press as you go when sewing.

Delivery Acceptance

Home delivery orders may be delivered under ‘Authority to Leave’ if the carrier deems it safe to leave items at the delivery address. This is at the carriers discretion. If it is deemed unsafe to leave the items, and no one is home to accept the parcel, a card will be left with instructions on how to collect them from your nearest delivery depot. Once your order has been delivered, Spotlight accepts no responsibility for any damage to, or loss of, your items. If you believe you have not received everything you ordered please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

 

Delivery Times

Orders are typically dispatched within 1 business day. Occasionally, during promotional periods or on weekends, it may take longer.

Standard and Bulky products are delivered weekdays by Pos Laju. Please allow 2 business days.

If you have not received your order in 3 weeks, please contact our Customer Care Department.

 

 

Split Delivery

Occasionally, customer’s orders may need to be sourced and supplied by multiple Spotlight locations. If this is the case, then your order will arrive at its destination in more than one consignment and possibly with more than one courier company. The multiple shipping charges are not passed onto the customer. The shipping charge paid at the checkout page of the order will not be exceeded even if multiple deliveries are required.

Returns Information

If you order an item online and it is not of acceptable quality or does not match the description, you can return it to us by taking the item to your nearest Spotlight store. If you are unable to get to a store, please contact our Customer Care Department.
