Can I purchase flat sheets at Spotlight?

Spotlight offers a large selection of flat sheets in its bed linen range, as well as fitted sheets, pillowcases, and complete sheet sets. Our flat sheets are available in single, king single, double, queen and king size. So no matter what size, colour or style you are looking for we have something to suit your requirements.

Why use flat sheets?

Flat sheets are most often used as top sheets these days, with fitted sheets being preferred as bottom sheets around the mattress. However, if your mattress is not a standard size, or is thicker than the average mattress, finding a fitted sheet may be difficult or costly, in which case using two flat sheets (one for the bottom and one for the top) may be the answer.

Tip: If you find that your flat sheets move too much during the night, check out the handy sheet grippers available at Spotlight in the bedroom accessories range, so you can keep your bed sheets exactly where you want them!

Why are there so many different flat sheets available at Spotlight?

Spotlight stocks bed linen from a number of leading manufacturers such as KOO, Emerald Hill and Brampton House among others. Each manufacturer has a variety of different colours and styles and vary in quality and thread count. Flat sheets can be purchased individually, with fitted sheets and pillowcases, or as a complete sheet set. So make sure you browse our range and find the flat sheet to suit your current or new bed linen.

How do I care for my flat sheets?

Flat sheets can normally be machine washed, although some manufacturers advise hand washing before first use for all bed linen. Afterwards, they can be line dried or tumble dried, again check laundry labels for instructions. Make sure you take care to keep dark or vibrant colours separate from whites, as sometimes the dye used in the colouring process can affect lighter colours, especially for the first few washes. Removing your flat sheets from the tumble drier before they get too dry may remove the need to iron them and enable you to fold them and lay them down flat.

Tip: when ironing flat sheets, fold them in half and then in half again. Iron on one side only. This is usually enough to get sheets crease-free and will drastically reduce your ironing time!
