Kids Quilt Covers

Create a Fun and Cosy Room With Kids' Quilt Covers They'll Love

Bedtime goes so much easier when a kid's room actually feels like theirs. And a new quilt cover is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to transform a kid's room in minutes, without new furniture or a paint job.

At Spotlight, we stock kids' quilt covers in sizes from single through to king, with fun prints that kids can help pick out themselves. We are a family-owned Australian business operating for more than 50 years, long enough to know exactly what makes a kids' quilt cover worth buying twice.

What's in a Kids' Quilt Cover Set?

Our kids' quilt cover sets pair a quilt cover with a matching pillowcase, so a new quilt cover is never sold as a single mismatched piece. Double, queen and king sizes come with two pillowcases instead of one. Buying a set keeps colours and prints already coordinated, with no guesswork matching separate pieces.

In Australia, 'quilt cover' and 'duvet cover' both describe the same item, so don't be put off by the different names used in store. Quilt covers usually take over once a child moves from a cot into their first single bed, when a plain cot quilt no longer fits.

What Size Are Kids' Quilt Covers?

We stock kids' quilt covers in single, double, queen and king sizes, so the range grows as kids do, from a first single bed right through to a double bed or bigger.

Sizing up a little, such as choosing a double for a king single bed, adds extra drape down the sides for a cosier, more grown-up look.

Snuggle Into a Fabric That Feels Just Right

The right fabric depends on what matters most for your child's bed. Our kids' quilt covers come in cotton, organic cotton and polyester, along with cotton polyester blends.

Cotton and organic cotton quilt covers are breathable and gentle on the skin, making them a comfortable choice all year round. They're ideal for a child who sleeps hot or lives somewhere warmer, since they let more air through than synthetic fabric.

Polyester and polyester blend quilt covers are more durable and easier to care for. They suit younger kids whose bedding needs washing more often than most.

Match Every Kid's Favourite Colour and Print

Using a mix of colours and patterns can make your child's room feel bright, cheerful, and fun to spend time in. That's why we stock kids' quilt covers in a huge range of colours and patterns.

You'll find prints with animals, cartoon characters, florals, rainbows, sports themes and more. There are also simple stripes, gingham and plain colours for a calmer look. The colour range covers green, purple, yellow, orange and brown, so there's a shade to suit almost any kid's favourite colour.

We also have reversible quilt covers that give two looks from one cover, handy for kids who like to change things up without buying something new.

Let your child help pick their own quilt cover print. Choosing a design they love can make their bedroom feel more personal and bedtime a little easier.

Dress the Whole Bed and Bedroom to Match

A new quilt cover is easiest to style when the rest of the kids' bedding matches. That's why we also stock kids' bed linen, fitted sheets and a matching pillowcase in similar prints as the kids' quilt covers, so putting a full bed together takes one trip rather than several.

Coverlets and comforters are handy too. Add one over a quilt for extra warmth, or use it on its own during warmer weather. A mattress protector can also help keep the mattress in good condition, especially for younger kids who are still prone to spills and accidents.

Finish the room with kids' cushions and bedroom decor that ties the colours and theme together.

With bedding, protectors and decor all in one range, Spotlight makes it easy to give your kid's bedroom a fresh new look.
