Donate Online
For the month of May, we are fundraising for Starlight Children's Foundation with the goal of raising enough money to grant over 100 life-changing wishes to seriously ill children in need. Throughout May, Spotlight customers can donate whilst they are in-store at checkouts or make an online donation with 100% of donations going to Starlight Children's Foundation.
This year Spotlight is also one of the major Matched Giving Partners for Starlight Day. Up to $150,000 of total funds raised between 8 to 20 May 2026, going towards the Starlight Day Appeal for the purpose of matching donations made directly to Starlight.

100% of customer donations collected through this campaign will be provided to Starlight Children's Foundation to support its programs for seriously ill children and their families. Up to $150,000 of these donations will be allocated to the Starlight Day Appeal, 8 to 20 May 2026, for the purpose of matching donations made directly to Starlight.
How Spotlight Helps to Celebrate Book Week
No child should miss out on the fun of Book Week! With the donations of incredible kid's costumes, children will love dressing up as their favourite superheroes, princesses or mythical creatures, helping them to celebrate Book Week from the hospital.
In the last few years, Spotlight and Starlight together created a Spotlight Costume Shop for children to choose their costumes from a range of options! We also created a 'Maker' area where children could draw their own unique costume and bring it to life with materials supplied by Spotlight, encouraging innovation and artistry.
Providing Art and Craft Supplies for Activities Our Starlight Children Love
Drawing, colouring and painting are some of the most popular activities in the Starlight Express Room, helping sick kids express themselves and take a break from their appointments. Children enjoy bringing their creative ideas to life alongside Captain Starlight, our resident superhero who loves colouring and lending a helping hand throughout crafting sessions. There's always great excitement on kids' faces at the sight of a Spotlight box filled with craft!
Fundraising from Spotlight
In May 2025, Spotlight held a Donation Drive Campaign where customers had the opportunity to donate directly at the registers in Spotlight stores across Australia. Thanks to our generous customers, Spotlight raised $519,912 for the Starlight Children's Foundation and helped grant over 70 life-changing wishes to children in need.
Spotlight participated in Starlight's Toy Drive where Christmas gifts were donated to children in hospitals across Australia, helping to transform the hospital experience for thousands of kids during the holiday season.
Spotlight also generously donates an enormous range of art, craft and party supplies to Starlight Express Rooms in children's hospitals across the country helping ill children to enjoy much- needed fun and creativity.
Starlight Children's Foundation is a children's charity that works to bring joy and laughter to seriously ill children and young people through programs like "Captain Starlight" and "Livewire," focusing on play, creativity, and social connection to enhance their well-being. Starlight granted 424 wishes in 2025 equating to 1/4 of the Starlight wishes in total. Together we aim to continue to make wishes come true for children across Australia.
