With hidden tabs, these curtains offer a neat look yet are also incredibly easy to install. At Spotlight, you can shop a range of concealed tab top curtains with a variety in fabrics, colours and textures to complement every decor style. Choose from light filtering options that help to create a bright, airy space or heavier fabrics that offer greater privacy and light control. From timeless neutral tones to rich statement colours, our range of concealed tab top curtains make it easy to find window dressings that complement your home while adding softness and style to any room.

What Is a Concealed Tab Top Curtain?

Unlike tab top curtains, where loops sit on the front of the fabric, concealed tab top curtains feature hidden tabs sewn onto the back of the curtain that slide directly onto the curtain rod, concealing your curtain hardware for a clean front view. These curtains create soft, evenly spaced pleats that form naturally as the curtain hangs. They also offer a simple installation process with no rings or hooks required.

Pick the Light Control That Works Best for Your Room

The right curtain can make a significant difference to the comfort and atmosphere of your home. At Spotlight, you'll find a range of concealed tab top curtains that suit different spaces and lifestyles. Our range of sheer curtains gently filters sunlight through the fabric, making them perfect for living and dining rooms. Our room darkening curtains help to reduce glare and outside light, making them a great choice for multipurpose areas such as studies or lounge areas. For maximum privacy and light control, blockout curtains are a popular choice in helping to create a dark, cosy space ideal for bedrooms and media rooms.

A Fabric Style and Colour for Every Mood and Every Window

At Spotlight, you can shop a collection of concealed tab top curtains in a range of fabrics to suit every decorating style. Shop our natural-looking linen, linen blends and faux linen as well as durable polyesters and heavier triple weave fabrics. Fabric weight plays an important role in how a curtain hangs, drapes and glides along the rod, with heavier fabrics generally creating fuller folds. Triple weave and other heavier options can also help with thermal insulation, noise dampening and year-round comfort. To complete your look, explore colours ranging from crisp whites, naturals and oatmeal through to blush, charcoal, ocean blue and forest green, making it easy to coordinate with your home decor.

Curtains That Suit All Sorts of Spaces

Concealed tab top curtains are a versatile choice that look right at home in bedrooms, living rooms, media rooms, dining rooms and home offices. They are a practical choice for sliding doors and larger windows where their soft pleats and streamlined appearance can help create a polished finish. The fixed-tab construction helps to keep your curtains in place and evenly spaced, making them less likely to shift when a breeze flows through. For great flexibility in your window dressings, consider layering room darkening or blockout curtains with sheer curtains on a double curtain rod to create a hotel-style finish that allows for full control of privacy and light.

Get the Fit Just Right Without the Guesswork

When looking to refresh your space with a pair of concealed tab top curtains, accurately measuring your windows is key to a seamless installation. Discover how to measure your windows by reading through our helpful buying guide. When choosing fullness, select a panel width of around 1.5 to 2.5 times the window width for a gathered look. To install, slide the rod through the hidden loops, position the panel before the bracket and mount on brackets above the frame. A handy trick is to hang your curtains higher and wider than the frame for taller, fuller-looking windows.

Pair Concealed Tab Top Curtains With the Right Curtain Rods and Smart Extras

Complete the installation of your concealed tab top curtains with Spotlight's curtain hardware range, including rods, brackets, finials, tiebacks, and holdbacks. Since the curtain rod is hidden behind the fabric, a plain or budget rod still looks great and does the trick of letting your curtains drape effortlessly. Consider choosing finials that match your decor theme, as these are the part of your curtain rods that do show and bring the perfect finishing touch to your space. And for an added touch of luxury, you can style your curtains with tiebacks for a vintage elegance.

Keep Those Soft Pleats Looking Their Best

Keeping your concealed tab top curtains looking their best is simple with a few easy care tips. Always start by checking the care label, as different fabrics will require different cleaning methods. For most fabrics, a gentle steam clean while the curtain is still hanging offers a quick and effective way to refresh soft pleats and remove light creases without needing to dismantle your window dressings. Lightweight fabrics may benefit from occasional airing, while heavier fabrics can handle a more thorough steam to maintain their structure.
