Whether it's a 1st birthday or a milestone like a 50th anniversary, our range of number candles turns every cake into a showstopper.

When Should You Add Number Candles to Your Party?

Number candles are a lovely addition to many celebrations. They're most commonly used for birthday parties, marking the age of the person being celebrated. You can also use them for milestone events, like anniversaries, to show the number of years a couple or an organisation has been around.

For children's parties, number candles add a sweet and personal touch. For milestone birthdays or special anniversaries, they can make your cake feel extra special and meaningful.

When you're using number candles, make sure to choose the right size for your cake. Smaller cakes or cupcakes might suit smaller candles, while bigger, more decorative candles can work well as a cake topper for large cakes.

All the Number Candles You Need for Any Celebration

As Australia's go-to party store, our range of number candles covers every number from 0 to 9. Simply mix and match to create any age or milestone you need. Choose from:

• Pink glitter number candles for a pop of pastel, perfect for unicorn or Barbie-themed parties.
• Gold number candles that add a touch of luxury, ideal for bridal showers and milestone birthdays.
• Black glitter candles for a bold statement, great for Halloween or goth-themed birthday parties.
• Silver metallic number candles for a sleek finish, suitable for baby showers and sophisticated events.
• Polka dot number candles for a playful vibe, perfect for kids' birthday parties and fun-filled celebrations.

How Do You Properly Use Number Candles?

Number candles are easy to use. At birthdays, the candle's number should reflect the age of the celebrant. For anniversaries and other milestone celebrations, choose a number candle that marks the special number or year you're celebrating.

To put it on your cake, simply press the bottom of the candle gently into the cake's top layer. If the cake is small or has a soft top, use a cake topper holder to keep it steady. Space out the candles evenly if you're using more than one. If you want to make the candles part of the cake's whole look, here are some ideas:

• Pick number candles in the same colour as your cake's main icing or decorations to create a tidy, matching look.
• Use gold or silver number candles for a shiny, elegant effect, especially on a plain white or pastel cake.
• Arrange small flowers or edible flower petals around the base of the candles. This adds a pretty, fresh feel.
• Use matching party decorations and tableware to tie it all together.

Using Your Number Candles Safely

When using cake candles, safety should come first. So, before lighting it up, keep these tips in mind:

• Never leave lit candles unattended.
• Keep candles away from flammable party decorations.
• Use extra caution if children are around.
• Avoid placing candles near plastic or paper cutlery or party favours.
• Blow out the candles before cutting the cake.
