What are Cut-to-Size Blinds?

Cut-to-Size Blinds are a convenient service where you can select from a range of ready-made blinds and simply have them cut to your size specifications. You can tailor the width of your blind to your window's dimensions to ensure a perfect fit for your home, however, the amount a blind can be altered depends on its design and product specifications. In contrast, Made to Measure Blinds are a fully customised service from consultation to in-home measurement, design and installation.

How Can I Buy Cut-to-Size Blinds Online?

To order your Blinds:

1. Browse & select from the wide range of products on offer
2. Enter your window measurements. Measurements cannot be changed once the order is placed, and cut-to-size blinds are not returnable for change of mind or incorrect measurements, so it's important to accurately measure your windows
3. Add to cart, and checkout with home delivery

For online cut-to-size orders, please allow 10 to 14 business days for delivery.

If you would prefer to see the materials and colours available in person, order in-store by visiting any Australian Spotlight store, and speak with the friendly team members in the curtains and blinds department.

Our Bayswater store (Victoria) also offers an in-store cut-to-size service for selected roller blinds. The in-store cutting machine has been designed to professionally and safely cut roller blinds. There is no need to make a booking, although larger orders may take up to 24 hours to complete.

Which Blinds Can You Have Cut to Size?

At Spotlight, you can choose from a great range of blinds in a variety of colours and designs to be cut to size. This includes:

• Cut-to-Size Roller Blinds: Choose from a range of colours in roller blinds, which are a modern, practical choice.
• Cut-to-Size Venetian Blinds: Available in Aluminium, Timber and Faux Wood options, venetian blinds are a classic style which will create a cool and stylish atmosphere.
• Cut-to-Size Blockout Blinds: For added light blocking, insulation and privacy benefits, choose blockout blinds for your home.

Measure Right and Your Blinds Will Fit Perfectly

To ensure the perfect fit, measure your windows carefully. Tools needed to measure your windows include:

• Step ladder
• Steel measuring tape
• Pencil
• Spirit level

Start by looking at your window to decide how you would like your blinds to be installed, recess fit or face fit. Recess fit is where the blinds are mounted inside the window framing. Face fit is where the blinds are mounted on or above the window frame/architrave.

When measuring for a recess fit, measure the width horizontally at 3 points across to check the window is square. If uneven, the narrowest of the 3 measurements is to be used. Measure the height vertically at 3 points to check the window is square. If uneven, the shortest of the 3 measurements is to be used. To ensure the best recess fit for your windows, refer to the table below once the narrowest width has been determined.
