Special Abbreviations

C4B: Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle.

C4F: Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle.

T3B: Slip next st onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K2, then P1 from cable needle.

T3F: Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work, P1, then K2 from cable needle.

C6B: Slip next 3 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K3, then K3 from cable needle.

Beg Second Sleeve -

1st row (RS) - Cast off 44 sts, patt to end ... 104 (106-108) sts.

Keeping Sleeve and Yoke Patt correct for rem, work a further 95 rows patt, thus ending with a 12th row ... 96 rows patt in all.

Cast off.

Lower Edging

Using 3.25mm needles, knit up 93 (109-127) sts evenly along lower edge of first piece.

Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS).

Cast off loosely purlways.

Rep on lower edge of second piece.

Neck Edging

Tie a coloured thread on top side edge on each piece 43 (47-50) cm from beg of each sleeve (4 coloured threads in all). Using mattress st, join top of right sleeve and shoulder to first 2 coloured threads. Remove these 2 threads. Using 3.25mm needles, knit up 106 (106-112) sts between 2 remaining coloured threads.

Cast off loosely knitways.

Using mattress st, join top of left sleeve and shoulder to coloured threads.

Sleeve Edging

With RS facing and using 3.25mm needles knit up 155 (159-163) sts evenly along lower edge of first sleeve.

Knit 3 rows garter st (1st row is WS).

Cast off loosely purlways.

Rep on lower edge of second sleeve.

Finishing

DO NOT PRESS. Using mattress st, join side and lower sleeve seams.
