SKULL CAKE
Level: Beginner
What you'll need:
- Spooky Hollow Skull Silicone Mould
- Funcakes Deco Melts
- Colour Mill 20ml Oil Blend Colouring Black
- Colour Mill 1L Gloss Frost Black
- Roberts 5g Lustre Dust Dark Silver
- Roberts Rose Spirit
- 6" Wide x 8" High Cake of your choice
- Cranked Spatula
- Scraper
- Food Safe Brush
- Turntable
Instructions
- Frost your cake in Gloss Frost Black and allow to set
- Heat up approx 150g Deco Melts according to packet instructions and mix with oil based powder until you reach the desired colour depth
- Pour black Deco Melts into a piping bag, snipping a small hole for the tip. Using the piping bag, pour into the moulds and allow to set in the fridge. You will need approx 3 batches to cover your cake (117 skulls)
- Optional: Define the skulls' eyes with a metallic silver pen
- Stick skulls on cake, you can use a little left over gloss frost to apply on the back of the skull to stick to the cake
