Assembly

1. Once all your leather pieces have been cut, carefully remove any excess material. Layer the cut pieces according to the Design Space project, making sure the edges are aligned. If required, secure the layers together using a small amount of craft glue.
2. Thread your chosen tassel through the opening at the top of the bookmark. Pull the cord through and secure it so that the tassel hangs freely from the top.

Personalising the Notebook

1. If using iron-on for the notebook monogram, place your iron-on shiny side down onto the cutting mat.
2. In Design Space, select the appropriate material and follow the prompts to load your material into the Cricut machine and cut your design. Once finished, unload the material and set aside.
3. Remove the negative areas of the iron-on design using a weeding tool. Carefully remove the excess material around your design, leaving your monogram or decorative design on the carrier sheet.
4. Place the notebook on your Cricut Heat Mat. Position the iron-on design onto the front of the notebook with the carrier sheet facing upwards.
5. For the most accurate application instructions, open the Cricut Heat Guide in Design Space and select your Cricut model, heat-transfer material and notebook cover material. Follow the recommended temperature, time and peeling instructions.
6. Once the recommended pressing time is complete, follow the Heat Guide instructions for a warm or cool peel. Carefully remove the iron-on backing to reveal your personalised notebook cover. Your personalised notebook and bookmark are ready! Pair the notebook and bookmark together for a thoughtful handmade gift, or customise the colours and designs to create a stationery set that's uniquely yours.
