Design
Open the Design Space project link: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/6a7a688a6b2f57fb4e4e34e2
- Click 'customise' to open design on 'canvas' tab, so you can personalise and resize according to your blanks. Add any other elements or text as you wish. Make sure if you make any additions to the design to change the function from 'basic cut' to engrave.
- When you are happy with your design, click 'make' on top tool bar and follow the prompts to connect your Cricut smart cutting machine.
Cut
- Cake server and knife: Place your blank on the cutting mat, in the middle at the base of the mat, when happy with alignment, attach firmly to strong grip cutting mat with painters' tape prior to engraving.
- Choose 'With Mat' and search 'Stainless Steel' in materials and then select.
- Follow prompts to load mat into your Cricut smart cutting machine. Load and Go - replace the fine point blade with engraving tool for engraving projects.
- Watch as your Cricut machine engraves the design. When it's finished, carefully remove painter's tape and set aside the first engraved blank.
- Use a soft brush or cloth to clear off excess engraved filings, carefully to ensure you don't scratch the product. Repeat this process for the second blank.
