Bed Sheets & Sheet Sets

Slip Into Comfort with Sheet Sets in a Huge Range of Colours, Fabrics and Sizes

There's a particular comfort in climbing into a freshly made bed, sheets pulled taut and fabric that actually suits the season. There's also a particular annoyance when a fitted sheet pops off at the corner at 2 am or when the fabric is wrong for how hot the room gets. Bedding should work with you, not against you.

That's why Spotlight stocks sheet sets in a massive range of colours, fabrics and sizes so you can pick the one that's built around how you sleep. With over 50 years in Australian homes and 120+ stores nationwide, we've learned what actually helps people sleep well.

We also cater for many sizes including single bed sheets, king single bed sheets, double bed sheets, queen bed sheets, mega queen bed sheets, king bed sheets, mega king bed sheets and super king bed sheets. Discover bed sheets from amazing brands such as KOO, KOO Elite, Emerald Hill, Linen House and more. Whether you are looking for cost-effective options or luxury sheets to upgrade, find it here at Spotlight.

What's in a Sheet Set?

Every bed sheet set contains a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and matching pillowcases. Single and king single sets come with one pillowcase, while double, queen, king and larger sizes come with two.

If you want to skip the flat sheet, Spotlight also sells fitted sheet and pillowcase combos. Fitted sheets, flat sheets, pillowcases and European pillowcases are all sold separately, too. That way, you can build your own set, replace a worn piece, or grab a spare for the cupboard.

How to Get the Fit Spot On

Getting the fit right starts with knowing your size.

Spotlight stocks one size, XL single (also called long single), king single, and single through to double, queen and king. For bigger beds, we also stock split king, super king, mega queen and mega king, so almost every bed in Australia is covered. A queen bed and a king bed take different sheet sizes, so it pays to check the tag before you buy.

Mattress depth matters just as much as size, and it catches a lot of buyers out. A standard fitted sheet set suits a mattress up to about 40cm deep. A high mattress, or one with a mattress topper on top, needs a deeper wall to tuck in properly. That's where our mega and deep-wall fitted sheets come in, cut with extra depth so the corners stay put. So measure your mattress depth before you buy, since wall depth varies across our ranges.

Pick the Fabric That Suits How You Sleep

Fabric and weave shape how a sheet feels far more than the number stamped on the packet. Cotton is the most reliable place to start, and Spotlight stocks it in more forms than most people realise.

• Washed cotton arrives pre-softened, so it feels broken in from the first night.
• Stonewashed cotton has a lived-in feel from the first sleep.
• Australian cotton is grown and milled closer to home.
• Egyptian cotton sheet sets have finer, longer fibres.
• Pure linen sheets soften with every wash, and linen cotton blends give some of that texture with easier care.
• Bamboo cotton sheet sets are moisture-wicking and pull sweat away from your skin while you sleep.

Weave changes the feel just as much as fibre. Percale is a plain, tight weave, crisp and matte, and cool against the skin on warm nights. Sateen has more sheen and a smoother slide, woven so more threads sit on the surface. Our cotton percale range suits hot sleepers, and a cotton sateen sheet set suits anyone after a silkier feel.

Select Sheets In A Range Of Thread Counts To Suit Your Needs

Thread count gets talked about the most, but it's the most misunderstood number on the label. Higher isn't automatically better, since fibre quality and weave count for more than the digits printed on the pack. A well-made 400 thread count or 500 thread count sheet can outperform a 1000 thread count set woven from lower-grade fibre. Spotlight stocks thread counts from 180 up to 1500, so you can match the feel you want to your budget.

Flannelette works differently. It's measured in grams per square metre (GSM) rather than thread count, and a heavier GSM means a thicker, warmer sheet. Our flannelette sheet sets are brushed for extra softness, and they're a genuine winter upgrade for a cold bedroom.

Layer Up on Colour and Style

Sheets set the tone for the whole bed, so colour deserves as much thought as fabric. Spotlight's range includes neutrals, crisp whites, deeper tones, stripes, checks, florals and printed sheet designs, plus options for kids' rooms.

Match your sheets to a quilt cover set for a classic look, or mix patterns across your pillowcases, coverlets and cushions for something bolder. Buying two sets in the same colourway means there's always a clean set to reach for while the other's in the wash.
